Exclusive Home Mastering Consultation With Ian Shepherd

In anticipation of Ian Shepherd’s Home Mastering Masterclass opening up again (affiliate link: http://www.audioissues.com/hmm) we did a little video together.

In the first part of the video I go through the methods.

I then sent this to Ian and in the video he gives me feedback on what he likes and what he thinks I could do better.

His Home Mastering Masterclass is an incredible experience for those that want to be able to master in their home studio as he shows you many different methods of mastering.

Everything from the simplest way of using just a little EQ and compression (like he does in this video), to using M/S EQ, saturation and stereo widening.

And all through the course he switches plug-ins and gear to show you the methods behind each approach so that you realize that it’s your skills of mastering that will ultimately make your masters sound better. It’s not because you don’t have “That One Plugin.”
