13 Processing Ideas to Use On Your Mix Buss
I asked the Audio Issues Facebook followers a question about their master bus processing the other day.
They did not disappoint in their answers and it was interesting to see the diverse responses.
I thought you might want to get some ideas from your peers so I wanted to share their 2-buss processing with you.
If you’d like to share your own, feel free to add to the comments here.

My Go-To Mix Buss Processing
In case you’re interested, here’s what I keep on my mix buss template:
- UAD API Vision Channel Strip
- Multi-band Compression
- A Pulteq style EQ (for my weird low-end frequency tightness trick)
- Waves Vitamin (for all around parallel EQ, compression and saturation)
- Limiting
In addition to my metering plug-ins, like my highly recommended and trusty Dynameter, those plug-ins can really help me get a rough mix sounding more like a record before I even start working on the individual tracks.
In fact, the man behind Dynameter, Ian Shepherd from Production Advice, is running a incredibly rare sale on his Mastering EQ and Mastering With Multiband Compression courses for the next 18ish hours.
You can get both Mastering EQ and Mastering With Multiband Compression at 30% off right here.
These courses are almost never on sale so you have to act fast if you want to take advantage of this deal. I’m a huge Ian Shepherd fan and I can say from personal experience that both courses have helped me improve my EQ and compression skills.
Multiband compression was quite confusing to me before I watched his course, and now I use his Multiband Compressor Mastering Template on almost every mastering job I do.
There’s no discount code needed. All you gotta do is go here and grab the bundle and save 30%
Cheers and have a great weekend,
Björgvin
