The 3 Key Takeaways to Recording Acoustic Guitar
I posted this video on The Long Wait channel yesterday but I bet it’s very interesting to you as well.
It’s about how we recorded all the acoustic guitar on our upcoming album.
Check it out here:
In case you’re too lazy to watch the video to the end, here are the three key take-aways:
- Make sure you get the right instrument that sounds best for the job.
- Pick the best microphones you have that you think will work. Obviously if you only have one microphone that’s the best one for the job. You’ll just need to move it around a little more to get the best sound out of your instrument.
- Take some time to move the microphones around to get the best mic placement.
I posted this today because it’s a highly condensed version of my “Acoustic Guitar Recording Strategies” video that’s included in the Recording & Mixing Strategies Plus package.
Along with two eBooks and 10 extra videos I think this package includes everything you need to get killer recordings AND mixes.
