When and Why to Use Stock EQ Plug-ins

Why and when would you use stock EQ?

If a standard stock EQ is good enough, why would you use something like Fabfilter Pro-Q3?

That’s what I was asked recently so I made a video to discuss some of the differences, as well as when I use which.

Watch the video for a discussion on:

  • Using mid/side EQ for wider mixes and tighter low-end
  • When the stock EQ is great
  • The importance of knowing how all of your stock plug-ins work
  • The beauty of having a mix template

I hope you have a good weekend.
