The Plug-in that Helps Make Your Mixes Dynamic is On Sale Today
If you mix your own music, you might be worried about whether it’s dynamic enough.
How do you know if your’re compressing your mixes “just enough?”
Your mixes can’t be too hot, where they sound squashed an over-compressed, like Papa Bear’s porridge.
And you can’t have your mixes too quiet either because they’ll just sound thin and weak, like Little Piggy’s straw house.
You need to find the Goldilocks Zone, where your mixes are “juuuuust right.”
Now, you don’t need to build a brick wall limiter to keep the Big Bad Wolf out. All you need is Ian Shepherd’s Dynameter, which is on sale today.

It’s the plug-in that’s permanently on my master bus to make sure I keep my mixes within the right dynamic range.
Here’s a screenshot from the final master of “Crazy For Me.”
Although it dips into the orange a bit here and there, this mix has a healthy dynamic range. That means that streaming services won’t turn down my mix drastically to make it quieter. They play it like I intended it to be heard.
My rule of thumb is that if I’m between orange and green, I’m in the clear. That’s what makes this plug-in so useful. Although it technically doesn’t do anything, it tells you so much.
Dynameter, along with all the other Meterplugs plug-ins, will be on sale this week to celebrate Dynamic Range Day. Get your copy of Dynameter today and use it while you mix the multi-tracks to “Crazy For Me” so you can make sure your final masters are dynamic enough.
